How is ride comfort assured? PDF Print E-mail

Taxi 2000 differs from other automated guideway transit systems in that the running surfaces are adjustable with respect to the basic guideway frame, which is built to normal structural tolerances. Before service is started, ride comfort is tested, adjustments are made and the running surfaces are firmly bolted in place. (In other systems, it is virtually impossible to correct any misalignment once the guideway is installed.) The vehicles run on smooth synthetic rubber tires of stiffness needed to meet ride-comfort criteria. Since the running surfaces are smooth and adjustable, secondary suspension is not needed.
