It's here again - Pod Car City is on in San Jose, California late October.
The conference will feature the worldâs top experts in Podcars who will discuss this cutting-edge transit
technology. "Pod cars blend the convenience of the personal automobile with
the environmental benefits of mass transit. They can fundamentally change the
way we deliver transit services and integrate land use and
transportation" their website notes.
One of the presenters will be Jeral Poskey from Google. Google's Larry Page has long held an interest in PRT podcars so it is not surprising to see a Google rep at the conference, especially since it is close to Google head-quarters. Jeral Poskey himself is a member of the Board of the Advanced Transit Assocation, an international association
of active and retired transportation professionals that
promote the consideration of advanced transit options. They have had a particular interest in supporting PRT and Podcars.
PRT leading authority Dr Ed Anderson will also be in attendance at the conference.
